Paint Shop Pro - Watermarking Tutorial

Watermarking, is a need to know technique for web graphics. It discourages people from taking your artwork. This is a simple tutorial for making watermarks that are visible, but do not ruin your images.

1) Open you picture.
2) Create a new layer by going to Layers - New Raster Layer. Name this layer "Text Layer".
3) Select the "Text Tool" (T) and set the settings to your choice, however remember to create the text as Floating
4) Type in your text, but do NOT deselect! Instead create another new layer again by going to Layers - New Raster Layer . Name this layer as "watermark". Then go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow.
5) Set your settings to mine.
6) Now you must deselect by going to Selections - Select None and delete "Text Layer".
7) Now you have your watermark!
TIP: To move the watermark layer around easier make sure the layer is selected and go to Layers - View - Current Only. Then once you are done moving the layer you can view them all again by going to Layers - View - All.
